A little JB weld will fix that right up.:Brow: But, seriously, that sucks. Is that you're engine or did you pick it up. If it is you're engine, what happened?:eek2:
did that 2 years ago to my last 455, after going from 3.08 to 373 gears, i was going down the highway in 95+ heat at 75+mph. ran great for about 20 miles, i took a much bigger chunk out of the block and just about cut the pan in half. I HAD LOW OIL PRESURE!
I hope I never see this in any of MY cars. I actually pulled this engine out of a 73 Regal. The cross member was hidding it until the motor was in the air. Sad to throw all those good bottom end parts out. :ball:
I think I would have considered keeping six of the rods.. Its kinda cool having a box full of conn rods to choose from during rebuild times, especially if you're trying to match a set.
As long as they're straight...o No: One way to find out is to pull them. Hate to see them tossed if even just a couple are still good!
I'll have a nice little moment of silence this evening for this engine...HAHA. Yeah, I'd keep some of those rods. You never know...o No:
