Welcome to the board. This is a great place and people will help you with your questions should you have any.
Hello John, Welcome. Good to see another '64 owner join up. I am sure you will really enjoy your 64, they are great cars. I have had mine only 11 months, and enjoy mine a lot. Lots of helpful, very knowledgeable people on the board. Fill us in on your plans and post some pictures when you can. Best wishes. Michael
Hey John get a few more posts so that you can post a picture or two of that car! Where in Oregon are you?
thanks for the welcome guys, im in Keizer, its a suburb of salem. ill post some pics tonight, i picked up a set of keystone klassics on craigslist for 50 in GREAT shape. thin white walls, eventually bag it, but lower it. gonna flake, pattern and lace the roof. she was a mess when i got her, but shes starting to come together now slowly. it only takes :dollar:. thanks again for the welcome
Welcome! (Re: Building a 1964 Buick Skylark) Howdy natas2018 and mid-60s Buick fans, Welcome to V-8 Buick!! Excellent choice of car . . . . . even if I'm slightly biased!! :Brow: Indeed, us fans of this particular Buick masterpiece will definitely want to see a few pics! :kodak: You'll definitely find all kinds of help here. Even some you didn't know you needed!! Cheers, Edouard :beer
looking forward to the build. So how are you going about this stock restro? drag, pro-touring/restromod? donk?(just kidding) lol
heres a couple of pictures of the keystones i got on craigslist for $50. going to mount them on the car this weekend, most of the pics of the car are at home so ill upload later.
Great project! I suggest a Buick 350 and 2004R trans swap. Good luck with what ever you decide to do!
it came with a 1971 350/350 tranny. unburied everything, thats what the floor looked like. wire wheeled it clean and sprayed a rubber coating on the floor, pretty stoked how it turned out. y
Good work, keep us posted on your progress! What he was trying to say is: Ditto what Sean said. or even a newer LS series chevy engine and 2004R trans.
got the Keystones on tonight, had to roll it out and get a good look. i have a long way to go, its going to be tough to wait to be able to drive her. gotta have patience ou:
I'm loving the pics, man, straight, rust free body panels is what it looks like to me, what a great foundation. Let's you and me try to get our 64's running before the clock strikes 2013, what ya say?
Welcome aboard! :beer You've got one of the best body styles ever built, but I'm somewhat biased. Nice to see a solid body with clean floor pans.:TU:
