    About 8,000 miles on rebuild

NOTE ON ENGINE: The valve job on the engine was done by an amateur (me), it is 3 angle and the valves were checked for sealing, but the spring heights were not done correctly. The valves are not cut deep enough and the spring hieght is too short which caused the original cam to wipe out. The cam was replaced, and the valve springs were reinstalled without the inner spring. there is only about 1500 mile on the car since, and was not revved past 3000rpm during that time so the current cam should be OK. But you will need to have a valve job done on these heads, about $140 around here. Also I may have misplaced the inner valve springs so you may need to replace them, TA perfomance is where is where i got them.
Enigine hasn't been started since last summer. AS IS.

Includes a 3 carbs. a 600cfm holley that was bought new a few years ago, worked 100%, but probably is too small for the engine to make max HP. A 750 holley that I got used, probally the right size carb for the engine, but I never had the time to tune it right, carb isn't 100% complete, things like the electic choke need to be used from the 600cfm, but you can make the carb complete with things from the 600. And a quadra-jet that I got from JET performance, worked, but I had better luck with the holley.

This engine RIPPED! made a ton of power and was very street able.

It DOES NOT look as new as in the picture.

never made it to the track or dyno. A while ago someone on this site had a very similar build that was around 350hp, i don't remember the specifics tho.

any chance you'd be interested in selling just the short block?

it is possible. PM me with an offer. My reason for selling the engine is to pay off my bike, so i can quit my job and ride off into the sunset for a month or two, then settle out in the midwest. The $2000 asking price is what i need. so if your offer is good enough where i know i can get the balance of the 2000 easily enough with the rest of the engine, then I will sell just the short block. Also with your offer include you definition of short block, seems everyone's is different.

turbo canuck, let me know exactly what you want included in the short block, and I'll work up a asking price.

Price for the short block is $1200. Short block includes everything listed in "Block-".

Qjet from jet performance - $120 plus shipping.

The $2000 for the complete setup may or may not include the carb stuff if i sell them first, I was basically just throwing them in with the motor anyway.

Nothing else will be separated unless the short block gets sold.

Could be very interested. Was going to rebuild my original motor but as the saying goes, "You can buy more than you can build"

If I was going to throw down the entire 2k, I would like the carb stuff included.

Do you have a phone number I can reach you at?

very true, and if you add up the parts list it will go way past 2k... I didn't get any replies on the carbs, so they are still in the mix. I'll PM you a number you can reach me at.
