I am trying to get a new front bumper for my 71 Skylark, I thought the 72 bumper has rubber strips attached, the 71 doesn't, and I am not sure about the 70. Can the 72 be used, does it have holes to mount the rubber, if I fill the holes will it be the same as a 71, or, can I use a bumper off a 70? I am talking to someone about the bumpers but we need some clarification. Thanks for any help Dean
You can interchange 71 and 72. 1970 won't work since you have to change brkts, latch support, headlight bezels, grills, hood trim. 71 is clean, 72 had holes for rubber trim.
So if I buy a 72 I just need the bumper shop to fill the holes on the front and everything else is the same? I looks like that may be what I have to do, I have only found 72 bumpers for sale. Thanks George. Dean
