I see that the parts place has bumpers front and back for the 70 buick but they want your old bumper as cores has anybody had any experiences or should I have them rechromed but I will have to wait about 6 weeks if I have them sent offo No:
I am curious too about the bumpers from The Parts Place. My 67 bumpers need straightening and re-plating. I have no experience with this---I am guessing that having mine plated and straightened would cost more or about the same as ordering them already done from TPP?
Send them to Tri City and get a lifetime warranty. Otherwise you are playing pot luck with cores and quality.
Years ago I looked at a 68 rear bumper from the parts place( was there and took it out of the box and looked it over). Looked like they started with a poor core and the work was just OK. I ended up getting a core from Sioux Plating and the chrome and finish was good.
I took the chance ordering bumpers from them years ago. I wouldn't put them on a beater. And would have cost too much to ship back so sold them at a loss.
I bought one from them a few years back since my old was was twisted up so badly. I am pleased with the chrome quality compared to the price, and did open it up while onsite to verify a good unit. Would I send one off next time? Maybe. Mark
I got a front bumper for my car. The top center was literally torn and re-chromed like that. I asked for another one and it took FOREVER to get them to replace it. I eventually did get another one that was better. Maybe ask for pics of the one they intend to ship. Good luck.
