Well, the 268 is not a bad cam at all....but.

I have been running it in my 70 GS455 for 2 years and it has good torque from 2700 to 4000 RPM. It pulls ps/pb just fine. I ran it with 2.76 posi and was running 14.75 in the quarter. I have changed to 3:42 posi with 2000 B&M stall but have not had it back to the track but it feels much stronger after the gear and converter change. Sounds racy at idle. It is way better than stock but cars running bigger cams in thier 455's can run away from me in a race no problem. My next motor will have a lot more duration and lift in it.

I prefer dual pattern cams especially for a street car. Single pattern cams are ok for a race motor with open headers. Buick always used dual pattern cams in the motors for better scavenging with full exhaust. I get my cams from Scott Brown at Straight Line Performance. 517-381-8801.

Yes, I do have it in per spec.

I degreed the 268 when I put it in. If I remember it is about .465 lift in/ext and 218 at .050 in/ext, 110 lobe center. Its been a while since I looked at the specs.
