I degreed my cam in my newly rebuilt '69 350 and it is 9 degrees off. What is the best method of getting it set right. Most roller timing chain sets have only 0, 2, 4 degree keyways, so that won't get me close to 9 deg. Is there an offset key available for the camshaft gear I could use in conjunction with the 4 deg on a crank gear? If so where would I look for the offset key? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

I had a similar problem, (-6* retarded) with a new timing gears and chain.
Then I bought a adjustable roller timing set (the -4, 0, +4 thinking) hoping this one in +4pos. cud give me -2 "real"!
    But found that this set was very accurate (-4 = -4, 0=0, +4 = +4)
bottom line here is: buy a GOD set, and try it on (hope you end up as pleased as i did)
