:Do No: Can a 1971 Skylark Post car be converted to a non-post car. I am restoring a '72 GS455 and need alot of sheetmetal.May have access to a 1971 Skylark, but its a post car and was thinking of moving the whole body shell to my frame. Thanks, John

Could I at least cut out and use the rear quarters and front fenders?

    Thanks, John

Front fenders and rear quarters should work fine.

How bad are the rear qtrs????

May be easier to buy new skins, trunk drops and outer wheel housing than cutting up a car.... I have done it a few times and it is a major pain in the butt because there are a thousand spot welds to be drilled out. Consider your time and effort before cutting the rear qtrs from the donor car. May be better to sell the post car as a race car candidate and use the funds to buy new sheet metal.
