That's a #1 to #0 condition which is better than new. A "Brass Hat" car would command the top auction of any similar vehicle and if entered it would be a concours winner. At least this is what I understand that to mean
Correct! ---------- Post added at 02:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:49 PM ---------- Car won Silver last year at GS Nationals. Former owner (Ken) was/is a member here and is the first registered / legal owner, bought it either 70 or 71 as an executive demo. It may just be on consignment at this place, not sure if Ken actually sold it or not.
Very common for a high end car like this to be a "Brass Hat car". My 1970 GS Stage 1 convertible was also a Brass Hat car. It was delivered new as per GM of Canada documentation, to the Montreal GM Zone Office, 3 months later it was put into GM auctions and Plaza Pontiac in Toronto bought car put it on lot August/Sept of 1970 and sold it officially to original owner with 3000 miles on odometer.
I thought all Stage cars were made in Flint and shipped to Canada. Thus, it should have a 10-bolt rear. Am I wrong?
>>I think those are actually front convertible shoulder belts as the extra belts are on the front seat. I added this set up to my own convertible as there was a guy on ebay selling reproduction set ups.
No Ken. She is of course a Flint built 70 GS Stage 1 convertible delivered brand new to Montreal GM Zone Office. No 12 Bolt....car retains it's original 3.64 10 bolt posi axle out back.
