1. Is a 68 Skylark convert windshield unique to convert, or will a 2 dr hardtop windshield fit? I thought they were unique. 2. Are 68 and 9's interchangeable. I think they are? Thanks,
Tim, Was checking on a windshield for my '69 GS convert and was told that it is different (ie:more expensive) than the hardtop windshield. As far as I know the '68-'69 convert windshields are the same.
68-72 Coupes use the same windshield, only difference is 70-2 use the antenna wire in the glass 68-72 4dr are different than 2 dr 68-72 convert are different than 2 dr and 4 dr
Thanks guys. I had a feeling that was the answer. So anyone in Washington or Oregon have a 68-9 convert windshield they want to sell??
What's the difference between a 2dr and 4dr windshield? I would never have guessed they would be different. :eek2:
A 4dr windshield is shorter by 1.5" (height) Tim, contact SafeLite Autoglass in your area and buy a new windshield. I just bought one for a 70 conv and paid $175. I install my windshields. If you want them to install it, that is $30-40 extra. :Smarty:
Thanks, I'll look into that. The 4 doors I think have a more verticle angle, which is why they are shorter...
