Hi All, My friend alerted me to this GS at Legendary motorcars near Toronto. They are the producers of Dreamcar Garage, you may have seen on Speed Channel. 1970 Stg1 convertible. www.legendarymotorcar.com Asking $105.000 can.:eek2: Adam
Don't know...for that kind of money car should be just about 99.9% perfect. Master cylinder is incorrect, there is no hose (let alone correct one) for winshield washer bottle. Drivers side fender looks late NOS. Probably more. I would say this car needs a real close inspection.....especially at that price. Korrie
That's nearly 80k in USD. Looks nice, but I don't know about 80k with that ugly yellowed overflow tank... uzzled: :eek2:
The above link goes to Cannabis Culture Magazine. Gumby :blast: Rotating porn adds in the header too.
Hi All, David, My friend E-mailed them to get the asking price. I'm not saying the car is worth the price, but it's nice to see someone thinks they can bring LS-6/hemi prices. Adam.
It must have just arrived. I was there in August and they didn't have it. They do have some very nice muscle cars. They had two Yenko Camaro's when I was there. BTW, this is where they film "Dream Car Garage" on Speed Channel Todd
Hmmmm....the URL is "not found" when I try to link to the Stage 1 80K US. That's a lot of cake. I know they made few of 'em, but still...Ray's 1970 GSX Stage 1 went for 38K. It's a rarer car, right? I am not a show judge, but I've seen a lot of Buicks and owned my car since '89, so I know a thing or two about fit and finish:grin: Ray's GSX was one straight, clean, sweet car. The original uphoslstery looked new except for a seam that was beginning to fray on the driver's bucket. The inner fenders and wheelhouses looked new underneath. He was getting "no thanks" as an answer when he was asking for 40 K o No:
Link isn't working for me either. ...............but this one is. Very unusual. I think the special paint code sort of immasculates it though. o No: http://www.legendarymotorcar.com/inventory/70_chevelle_ls6.html
Ya gotta admit, this is a sweet looking motor, even if it is a Chevy. http://www.legendarymotorcar.com/inventory/images/cars/70chevelle_conve_08.jpg
Its aways intersting to see something like that, On one hand, everyone thinks sthe Buick GS is one of the greatests cars ever made, yet when someone sells an ultrarare model everyone craps on him for asking for real coin. I'm not going to judge this car based on what I have seen in the pictures (it looks to be that well done but missing some details, personally), or whether it s worth the money, but have you seen the prices for an original big block chevelle convertible? How about that superbird (250,000.00???), how about a big block mid 60's corvette?? I know "run of the mill" GTO's selling for 40 or 50k now....nothing special. If the that sweet GSX won't bring the money, its the buyers, isn't it?? Wonder if the owner would spring for that coolant tank? later Tim
Actually, I was just about to rant about the lack of detail attention to the incorrect tailpipes: http://www.legendarymotorcar.com/inventory/images/cars/70buick-gs-conv_11.jpg ....they should be slant cut to be perfect, but now you made me feel bad about complaining...
Feel free! I could pick that car apart, I spotted all kinds of things just from the pictures, but it is a car after all. Thats one of the reasons I don't like shows much anymore, everyone strips your car down and points out the problems...many of which are simply a lack of good quality resto parts (like coolant tanks, etc). I try to just enjoy the shows. If that was an LS6 convertible, it would be gone already. Does anyone know who owns the car? later Tim
I know Tim, and I'm just as guilty as the next guy. It does suck that people are always inclined to find the bad points and not the good first. I will show my car when it's done, regardless. It's just that when cars are being passed off as one thing and they don't quite measure up in another way, people have a tendency to call open season on it. It's either one of two things, human nature, or jealousy, or both. 10 to 1 odds the same individuals (myself included) would not look at these cars so critically had they been in our own driveways. :Smarty:
