The blower motor works on my 71 skylark but when I change the selector switch nothing happens. Air blows mostley from the floor and the defrost area at the same time. I'm thinking incorrectly routed vacuum lines or is this in the switch?
Is your vacuum pod hooked up in the engine compartment? That is what mine did when it got disconnected.
As Bret said. Check vacuum lines at plastic drum on firewall and also line to brass heater valve to see if rubber lines are attached.
Yes the pod and valve in engine compartment are hooked up. I do get heat but have no control at the selector.
Did you do a vacuum check on the vacuum resovoir mounted on the firewall? If it's cracked and wont hold vacuum, moving the dask switch won't have any effect on the blend door in the heater box. I had this same issue with my X a couple of years ago when I charged the air conditioner. Replaced the vacuum tank and all is good. Hope that helps, Larry
