There are several yards grouped together near Wilmington. Go I-95 to Newport Gap Pike exit(DE 141) north to Newport.Get off at E Market st ,go left .Look for Old Airport Rd.(next intersection-left) There are several yrds. Most have late stuff but one yard has a bunch of old Camaros,Skylarks, and other A body cars. You can see these yards from I-95. There is also Joe's Junkyard-2 locations close to each other- in Trainer. This is north of Wilmington off of US 13 . I usually find old stuff in those yards. Otherwise, roam around Md and Pa. Lots of yards all over.

Drive west or Rt 40 through Elkton.Go to Rt 272 and turn right.About 1/2 mile is Nazarene Camp Rd on the left just before the I-95 overpass. Follow Nazarene Camp rd around, less than a mile. There are 2 yards almost across from each other. Mars Auto parts on the left and a small pull it yourself yard on the right. Mars has some old cars. The little yard on the right runs quite a few cars in and out. Sometimes they get an oldie car in. Another yard is located about a mile east of Elkton on Main St .Main St turns into Red Hill Rd. From US 40,turn onto RT213 into Elkton.Turn right on Main St. Yard is on the right. Seems like it is called Hilltop Auto. There is a place called Reider's Garage on the corner of 272 and 273. But Vic Reider is not very friendly at first. In fact, if he happens to be on a run,his elderly mother will come out with a shotgun! I've been lucky enough to get on his good side and been able to get a lot of stuff out of there. There is a good sized yard in Little Britain,Pa. on Rt 272. About (west)7 miles from the Herr's Potato Chip factory near US Rt 1. Lots of old cars there.

Mars didn't have much left for Buicks the last time I was there. The yard across the street is Albright's. Again, not a lot there. You pretty much have to catch them when they come in. The yard on Red Hill road is Harper's Junkyard. There is nothing there worth looking at right now. Things get crushed pretty quick around there.

Dave! I still have that '67 Electra that I bought from you last summer. I have it stored in a big building and making some progress on it. Getting ready to drop a eng/trans in it. The yard I described in Little Britain is called Stewart Crisswell and Sons. It used to be called Prang's. There are hundreds of old cars there. The owners will let you roam freely and pull your own parts. I was in Albright's recently and there wasn't much there. I did notice a blue '75 Malibu 2dr that has a driver side 1/4 glass (teardrop style) that has "SUN COUPE" emblemized in it. From a '73-'74 Buick Century/GS Sun Coupe? maybe. It has been parked there for the last few years. On Rt 1 ,south of Oxford,Pa. are Mason-Dixon Auto parts on the state line, and further down Rt 1 near Conowingo,is their other yard,Bank's Recycling. I have discovered a few other yards in the area that I plan to check out when I get up there next week.

I was wondering what you ever did with that thing. It would be a pretty cool car if it was fixed up. That yard up on route 1 is pretty amazing! There's just cars everywhere. Lots of very old stuff. It's fun to just walk through even if you don't get anything. Get in touch with me when you're up here. Maybe I can check out some of those yards with you.

I am going to keep working on that '67 . I'm going on a trip next week and will be hitting all of the yards on the way. You must be refering to Criswell's on Rt 272,west of Oxford. 272 crosses over Rt 1 by the Herr's chip factory. I've been all over that yard in the past several years. There's some really old cars in that yard. I heard that there is another yard in Maryland that is huge and has thousands of really old cars, like Criswell's in Pa. Many are supposed to be complete. I am trying to track that one down right now. I found a big yard off of I-81 near Hazelton that is full of old cars. I'll be going to that one for sure. I found it last fall but only had an hour to do a quick walk through.Plus it was 25 degrees and a stiff 30mph wind blowing. My face was so cold ,I could hardly move my mouth to speak! I'll get in touch with you Dave, when I get up there.Ted

The big yard in Little Britain,Pa will have several Mavericks. It's not too far from you. Just follow 273 out of Newark through Fair Hill until you get to the light at 272.Turn right and go north into Pa. Just follow 272 for several miles and it takes you into Little Britain. Little Britain is just an intersection. Look for King Pen Rd. Turn right on to King Pen and the yard entrance is right there. Believe me, you won't miss it. As you come up to the intersection, you will notice a small 2 bay garage on the right , with a couple of old cars parked around it. You will also notice a big, brown 2 story building ahead of you. This building looks like a very old hotel or something. Criswell's is worth the trip! Good luck.
