I would say its like the Dugars with child #29!

I recognized the taillights right away...... First car was a 70 Torino, morning gold w/ivy & white interior. :puzzled:

351C 4V, C6, 3.00 tra tion loc, sport mirrors, styled steel wheels (real unusual for formal roof), HD suspension, in dash tach (another real unusual item on formal roof). Gray gold paint, really close to pewter silver.I have a basic marti ill post when I get home.

What's the differences in roof types? For those of us not educated in Ford-ology,

Like Formal Roof vs. others? What's a formal roof specifically?

Ken, sportsroof is ford speak for fastback. formal roof is not a fastback.

don't worry, it'll have the correct ford 428, er i mean, 351 735 holley for the race. :Brow:
Nah, I should have no problem finding the correct 4300 carb for this.
drove it home, interesting. had shifting issues which were fixed by taking off a vacuum plug off the manifold vacuum tree and reinstalling the modulator hose. shifts great now. right rear wheel would lock up easy bu after some driving is much better. i still need to take it off and check it out. got the carb tuend much better, was running great then just died. got it restarted but it wouldnt idle. i think some crap got in the holley. put on my known good holley and ran well. adjusted timing, better. cleaned the interior and trunk out, just need ot vacuum it. a refurbished dash pad and some carpet, the interior will be excellent. When I got home and started messing with it right away, i already got the "back to being a garage widow" comment from the wife. all in jest, of course.
    Here's the Marti report.

o.k., came hone and did a few under hood things then backed it out for the Dawn dishsoap washdown. Top of the car had a lot of residue from trees and I didn't want to work too hard at it. worked great. Interior still needs a vacuum, that's later tonight. Oil change first and some new front shocks. Put in an order for some goods from NPD last night.

I can see at least three areas that you should be able to shed an appreciable bit of weight and not cost you any money. PSMCDR material if I ever saw one.

That's funny! We all got together last weekend at a car show. It was our annual FCA mini-meet at Metro Beach on Lake St. Clair.
Tuttle brought his recently purchased 76 Cougar to the gig and we were talking about Mcford and Tuttle just trading cars.
Ron's 76 Cougar is green on green, and it is super clean, with less than 40,000 miles. I should have takin' a picture.

The beach is great for taking pictures like this.
