Looking for a car cover for my 65 Skylark. Wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction? Car will be kept in the driveway for the summer and then put away in the garage until next season.
These are nice, and reasonable https://www.carcoverstore.com/car-covers/1965/buick/skylark/buick-skylark-1965-coupe-2-door
Impressive Nick. You ask a global forum for guidance and accept the very first recommendation that comes in. I hope you like your car cover! Damn Larry your vote carries weight!
Larry gets like $10.00 commission for every cover sold. Wait...no...I think it's Jason that gets the commission!
SkyGuy65, which cover did you order (gold, silver, bronze), and are you satisfied? Anyone have a different recommendation? Cover will be used occasionally outdoors, Spring-Fall, but mostly indoor year round.
I have had excellent results with some of the covers from https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/ I have ordered one of these for my last 5 Reatta's, my Thunderbird, and the 72 Centurion convertible and Electra. The fit is outstanding and worked perfectly for what I asked of them
Empire makes a great five layer cover that protects against falling objects if they are not too heavy. Gave Vinny one when he went to college in St. Louis. Saved the Cobra numerous times from hail. There cheaper covers are not worth the money but their premium five layer is. Mikey
Before buying a cover you really need to know what your true usage is going to be. One thing to keep in mind, bulky covers equal issues with where to put them, they don't roll up nicely if you plan on taking it to shows etc when you travel, if they get wet when traveling, you better have a large heavy garbage bag to put them in. If you are going to use them in your driveway and toss it in the garage when not in use they are great. Covers like that are nice if you store your car where other cars are stored and other people might be around your car. Just be sure what you need, a good cover is not cheap and a mistake is costly
