I need a carb for a 1970 GS 455 that is preferably ready to run. I do not need a concourse carb just a driver so I can get down the road. I dont mind if it the wrong year as long as it is for a 455. Thank you for any help. I wanna drive my BBB and have some fun...

I have a 73 carb that I put on my GS to see if it would run.I did very well, but this was 3-4 years ago.Its been in my garage since and I have no way right now to test it again, unless you have time to wait, and I mean weeks. This came out of a GS455.Bruno.

Have a 1972 #240 carb in the classifieds. (Parts for sale section). Late 1971 date code. Would put a carb kit on it, do not know how long it has been sitting. Acquired it loose here locally.

I've got a couple 70 455 "0240" blasted and ready to assemble they both still had fairly tight shafts iirc

Thank you for the help. I have a line on a local carb but not sure of model. I need to look at it this weekend.

If your local source pans out I do have the carb I just pulled off my 1972 Electra.

There are believe (3) carb rebuilders/suppliers active on this site. GL with whatever you decide.

Glad to be able to help and happy that another item from the Electra is out there working and not sitting in a box :)

    Cheers!
