I looking at bidding on some sheet metal from "carfinds" in Kingsburg CA but am having trouble getting a question answered. I know thats a red flag in itself :Dou: but its something I really need.

If anyone here has experience with them, I would appreciate hearing from you?

I do not have any experience with them, however I agree with you that no communication is a bad sign, also the distance involved makes for trouble if you need any kind of customer service.

You may really need it, but what if they never send it after you've payed? Then you are out the $$$ until Paypal takes your side.

    If they take your side....

Ebay and Paypal are very one sided like that. They almost always side with the buyer. They'll jump at an opportunity to hang the seller out to dry.

    Almost....

They screwed me good on a camera lens that was listed as brand new, but was obviously used and broken when I got it.

Paypal sided with the seller and said that since he sent the item and I recieved it, there is no problem. After many emails back and forth with them, with pictures showing the broken lens, they threatened to close my Paypal account. They said that their decision had already been made, and that they cannot change it once it has been made.

I DO NOT trust Paypal, or Ebay. I always use my credit card when using Paypal. Credit cards are almost too pro buyers. I have a friend that owns a wrecking yard, and people buy stuff on the card, then challenge it, and he loses, and never gets the part back either.

So my advice is to use your credit card.
