i have a 72 gs clone that i put new carpet in it but before i could paint it, i had a slight leak thru the windshield that i didn't see until it was to late. i check the carpet out and it's still good but it's stainted like crazy. is there anyway i can clean it up or will i have to replace the carpet. it's only about 1 square foot that's mess up. any suggestion on how to clean it up?...mike
I'm not sure if there's anything to get a waterstain out, but you might have some luck re-dying the carpet. What color is it?
Try steam cleaning it, just like you would any other kind of carpet. And don't use detergent, it will attract dirt. Oxygenated cleaners work best.
