i have my starwars aircleaner on my 340,needless to say the quadrajet base doesnt fit :ball: anyone got a base they will get rid of?
You can make one, as these are a premium item. Simply buy an aircleaner that does fit the carter, measure the diameter you need to cover the base, and cut it out with a sabre saw or take it to a machine shop. Do a little grinder work to smooth out the edges and paint accordingly. Unless you are doing a concours restoration, this will work just fine. I have done 3 this way now, and it really is not a problem at all.
