Could someone please define what a catalog car is. People whom I've talk to keep saying that my car might be a catalog car. My father order the car while in Germany in April of 67 and picked it up on Bushwick Ave, Brooklyn, NY in June of 67.

    Thanks

Never heard this term. Is it heavily loaded with options? Maybe they mean when the car was ordered they ordered the whole catalog?????

Maybe it was the car used in the 67 Buick brochure? Any pictures to compare to whats in the brochure? It could be since it appears to be a very early production Riviera

Well, I guess what I mean is that the car was order from a catalog and delieved from Buick to a pick up location for people in the military. People coming back from Europe picked up their ordered cars in New York. Basically the car never went though a "dealership" so to speak. But how does that make it a catalog car? I keep hearing that term when I mention how my dad bought the car.

It's just a basic 67 Skylark, Black on Black, 300 ci, 2 bbl and about 90% original.
