I was talking with a buddy the other day and we weren't sure if PSMCDR "STILL" uses the NHRA Tech Sheet to "CERTIFY" their cars...if not, what are the rules then?
Rob, You'll find them here. http://www.purestockdrags.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=53
Are these the rules anyone can cerity to or just the "rules". I read through the link and if it says "certify", then I missed it. Thank you for your help.
Rob, On the PSMCDR home page there is a contact us button on the left side. You will see Dan or Dennis Jensen's number or Lyndon Hughes. All great guys. They will answer any questions you have about certification. I hope this helps.
Those are the rules. To the best of my knowledge not very many cars have been tore down to be certified lately. Check with Dan to be sure. They have started a process where a few cars are heavy teched at the race on friday to check for compliance with the rules. They check compression, some casting numbers, vacuum, carb's, torque convertors, tires, look for boxes and a few other items.
I think the cars that run too fast one year get invited for heavy tech before competing the following year, but I saw no cylinder heads off, etc. Ryan
