Holy crap.... I had to pull my poor 69 Chevelle out of the warm garage so I could pull in my truck to get a chip repaired in the windshield.
While I was sitting inside watching my Baby shiver outside cursing my name... There was a knock on the door...
A gentleman was standing there when I answered the door.." Hey is that Chevelle for sale ?" Not Meaning any disrespect- I said -- No, you don't have enough to make me want to sell it.. He says " Are you sure " and pulls out a ROLE OF CASH THE SIZE OF A SOFTBALL !!!!!!!!!!!

HOLY CRAP !!!! He says ok.. Turns around and walks back to his DENALI sitting on 24s and leaves....

WAIT come back, buy it, take my wife, anything you want ,,, just leave the cash :pp

Guess I should of just said a Number :Dou:

Send him over to my house! Everything has a price, even if it's overpriced!
Maybe he was one of those Barrett Jackson high dollar guys. :Brow:

Sounds like a playa with a hundred dollar bill wrapped over wad of singles. If he was serious he would have stayed for the deal.

Take my Ex-NY-CITY advice and lock that car up good or sleep in it.....I hate to say it but he'll be back. He now knows where your car is and I wouldn't be surprised if there is an attempt to steal it.

Just a warning because I don't trust anybody....sounds like a drug dealer carrying that much cash!

    69GS400s ...my own amusement ride!

I had someone pretty much say the same thing to me at a show one time .. he asked "How much?" I said "Not for sale except for a ridiculously overpriced number.." "Name your number .. I may bite" and I laughed it off. A few weeks later at a local cruise he's holding court around his new a BIG dollar car telling people how he just bought it cause he HAD to have it :Dou::Dou:

My first thought as well. You could also take it as a complement, but I'm cynical enough to not trust anyone till they've earned it. Once bitten twice shy I suppose.

I've always said my Buick is not for sale period. You could replace the car, but not the memories (and I have a lot of them in this car). That said, if someone offered something stupid (I mean real stupid, like 3x what I got in it) I may be able to make some new memories with another Buick....

Even then, I know a good portion of me would regret it...

I was gonna say cash is king when buying anything, but to come up out of the blue and flash a wad is fishy. Even on the car shows when they say they have cash, but they don't wave it in the person's face.

What's wrong with having cash waived in your face? As long as there is plenty of it, I could care less who is flashing it and where it came from!

Money isn't everything. What moon said. Lock and key that thing!!!!

I'd drill some big steel loops to the concrete floor and chain it to my garage!!!!!

But, it's never raced against the Legendary Buick racer then it would be worth even more. LOL!

The guy was probably a pimp and had collected the $$$ from his working girls. He may have thrown one in to sweeten the pot.
