Guy's I went on Autozone.com typed in my car, 73 455, and they showed a Champion Quadrajet replacement carburetor for sale. Has anyone ever used on of these and are they any good. My engine is completely stock.

Secondly, if I were to get an Edelbrock, any sugestions on which one.

    Thanks Rick

I have never seen a production line rebuilt carburetor that was worth a crap. I'm not saying it isn't possible, just that I'd STRONGLY prefer to rebuild it myself than let some monkey who's paid by the hour (and therefore most willing to cut corners) do it for me.

That said, I bought an Edelbrock reman of the Edelbrock 1910 Performer RPM Q-Jet while they were still available. It's part number 9975, I think. Edelbrock has discontinued all the "new" Q-jets, good luck finding one. Summit still had "lots" of the non-RPM units when I called them about two months ago. Get the one that has the same choke as the one you have--divorced, hot air, or electric.
