I need shorter vent tubes. Do not want to cut the ones I have so I would like to put new ones in. Anyone know how this is done?

Doug, I believe these are just pressed in. Whan I bought a HP1000 from a board member the vent tubes were damaged in shipping. I bought new ones from holley and installed them myself.

maybe try a heat gun to expand the casting to make it easier to get in and out, maybe a little blue locktite to keep the new one secure. good luck

I guessed they are pressed in. Any big problem getting them out? Thought about applying a little heat (maybe with a heat gun.) I get real nervous about prying on a $900 carb.

Honestly Doug, I just used a pair of needle nose pliers and was able to pull them out. They were snug, but relatively easy.

Thanks for that info. Never done it before was not sure how big a deal it was going to be.
