I have a 71 GS with an original AM radio that I want to swap with one of those new replacement radios that is offered by Soundmove.com. They say no modifications to the dash are needed.

Has anyone ever changed one out and are the connections different? I've never done one on an older car. Thank you.

Yes, I did the exact thing your considering and wish I had just bought a factory am/fm from the same year. I installed a Custom Auto sound and I'm not impressed....goes off frequency for no apparent reason. Maybe the brand your looking at is of better quality. Jim

BigBlock68 Love that old car smell.

What that site's selling is the Custom Autosound pieces. My dad had one of those in his last Cutlass and it fit with no modifications to the dash. I can't say much about it since you usually couldn't hear it over the Flowmasters (this was with their kick panel speakers which also went in with not mods).

It is from Custom Auto Sound - thanks - I'd better start looking for an original then.
