Well, I was power-timing my Riviera and having no luck at it. Seemed like I had a vacuum leak somewhere & just could not find it.... ....until I checked the: "new" vacuum break diaphragm I'd put on the carb less than 6 months ago, and it appeared to have a crack in it. I prodded it a little, and it burst open like a jack-in-the-box. Serves me right for ordering cheap no-name parts off of evilbay. ou:
I don't have good news for you on the plastic early style choke pull-offs. It appears that the better ones are now gone. We used up the last of the High Grade Standard pull-offs a few months ago. They were white plastic, but much higher in quality and slow opening rate so we could modify them if/as needed. They are all now showing up the cheaper style units. Of course there wasn't any price break. Quite a few of them aren't even "clocked" correctly, and we've had to send them back. I did enough belly-aching about it the last batched showed up clocked correctly, so maybe they did pass the word on. The opening rate is also WAY too fast, so we add a custom adjustable restrictor to each one. They are on the website for $15 each plus shipping.....Cliff http://www.cliffshighperformance.com/parts.html#a
