Checking for interest in engine cradles..
Does anyone have any interest in engine cradles for 455?
I made one for myself and completed it last night. Thought others may want one. Im not sure if the Jeggs/Summit/Harbor Freight ones will accommodate a 455. If I make it to Salem I will bring one to see if it is to your liking.
I imagine cost would be between 60 and 70 dollars.

I need one. I just pulled my numbers matching motor out to shelve it and have it on my engine stand. But a cradle to set it in the corner would be nice.

I'll see you at Salem if you come. :TU:

I would be. Its better than having your extra engine and transmission on tires, much easier to move also.

Mike Phillips at AM&P in Philpott, KY already makes them. He has both BBB and SBB. The cost, (when I bought mine) is about $50.00. He went to the GS Nationals and the BHP Nats. So, he may be at Salem, too.

He advertises in the Buick GSCA GSX-tra. His website is http://www.automachperf.com

I was thinking Dave Burns (or Mike G?) was also making them a year or two ago?

Sounds like a very fair price to me. I'll get in line for one, too. Shipping may be a PITA, though. Is what you're putting together sort of 'modular?'

I just talk to Mike Phillips at AM&P he is bringing some transport cradles (engine cradles without casters) to Salem. He has been making them for about 5

I don't want to step on anyones toes. I'm a novice at the welding game and love to make stuff if you have a small project give me a call.

I have the Mike Phillips cradle as well. Nice piece. Worth the money and does not roll around in your truck like the ones with the @#%#! casters.
