Clear Coat Over Hot Temp Paints

    Can you apply a rustoleom clear coat over hot temp paint, I did my valve covers and they look awesome but the iintake and head do not match?? could somebody give me some advice,

    I'm going to sound goofy here, but I always use tractor enamel on my motors. It's very durable, designed to cover the entire tractor, rear, trans, motor and hood. Stands up to heat and weather, in case you want to run without a hood. :rolleyes: And International Harvester Red looks real close to Buick red.

    I painted it dh1608 from bumper to bumper the color is perfect but now that I clear coated the valve covers it intensifies the red, I have not heard of clear coat being sprayed over hot temp paint though so need some advice

    I clearcoated most of the parts in my engine bay but I did not use rustoleum. Get the Dupli-color hi-temp clear coat. :Smarty:
