Is the throttle arm on a 1904 Edelbrock Qjet set up for using a TV cable for a 200-4r? And if I don't use the overdrive trans it should work with a TH350, right?

Also, one of the tiny passages inside the carb got plugged up with what looked like corrosion(white chalky stuff). Me and a buddy of mine finally got solvent/cleaner and air to blow through it after using a piece of safety wire like a pipe cleaner. Do you think this will be a problem or will the gas eventually dissolve the rest of it(corrosion) or will it plug it back up? The car sat outside and some water eventually leaked under the chrome strip that goes up the center of the hood, dripped through from one of the studs and puddled on top of the chrome open-element air cleaner top and down past the lid wing nut into the carb. Except for the one passage, everything else looked really good. We used Edelbrock's rebuild kit.

Finally, is this a good carb to use on a Buick 455???

Thanks for any help you can give...

The Edelbrock Q-jets are excellent castings. We often find problems with them, so go over them carefully during rebuilding to make sure everything is sound, and all the passages in place and drilled to reach their intended target(s).

We've even seen some jets set deeper in the castings that they should, and not even side to side, etc, so check EVERYTHING closely.

I'm not overly fond of their rebuild parts, and the white plastic accl pumps with the light blue seal are JUNK! They are too short, and the spring(s) are not matched correctly.

The .149" HP needle/seat assembly is NOT recomended for most builds, especially the older units with the early float/fulcrum arrangement.

I don't know about the throttle arm or geometry for the TV cable, etc? It must provide full range of travel for the cable, etc, but not sure if that particular carb has the attachment point the correct distance from the center of the shaft?......Cliff
