Hello to all, I haven't posted in awhile. Looking for some advice. I have a 1964 Special vert and it seems my gear shifter (column) is loose. Original 300 and tranny. Car won't start unless I wiggle the shifter while in Park. Also, noticed that while shifting into reverse and drive, shifter has to be wiggled a liitle to engage the gear. Doesn't seem to want to catch the gear right away. Linkage seemed to be ok. Problem with tranny or steering column?? Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Patrick
It sound like linkage is loose or worn out. Have someone shift it while U watch for abnormalities at brakets.
