Yep, you heard me right, even one w/ a buick in it!! Got it at walmart supercenter today, an early b-day present. It's called Hot Rod american street drag. Anyone else have this game besides me??? It's very fun, the buick appears to be a 1986(7) GN if im correct. Game is fun, they start you off with 5 k, let you buy a car, and give you some parts to make it go fast. You have to race to get money, and when you get the money, you're free to raid the parts section for some pretty awesome stuff. I started with a cutlass in pretty bad shape, ran 24 seconds in the 1/4th mile and got it down to 17 second car with a few k, but I haven't played it much yet, I haven't even had any other cars but the GN and the cutlass! There is supposed to be 20 of them to chose from. Fun game, includes street drag racing and strips!!!! :3gears: :TU: Anyone else have it? Trust me, it's way funner, not your average "pimp-my-ride" game, it's all about muscle :bglasses:
I have it.I have a 10 second Firebird.I stopped playing it after that. Can't control the car anymore.Always shoots off left or right.I have upgraded the suspension, tires ans whatever else I could to max it out,but still shoots to the sides.Maybe one day I will throw it back in and give it another shot.
Ive seen a few drag racing games out there, but none of them have really tickled my fancy. Its just something about the graphics I dont like. If a company like Polyphony (The Gran Turismo series) made a game like this I would deffinately buy it.
I just had a 12 second '57 chevy, but I burnt the clutch. If you want to keep the car straight you have to go to options, then to "controller", then it gives you options to change how to accellerate and steer the car. It seems fun to me, but I was confused too when my car went sideways and I got disqualified a few times but I finally changed the control options so if it does go sideways i can steer it over and keep it straight.
Oh, it gives you the options to change control settings. Just try to use it, though. I have a wheel and pedal setup for Grand Prix Legends. It won't work with this game, and neither will any joystick I've tried. The game will set your controls in pretty much a random manner when you try to make user defined keys or joystick inputs. Believe me, I have tried everything from a 20 dollar crummy joystick to a full HOTAS setup for flight sims. Like I said, it's as buggy as an anthill. Using the keyboard was the only way I could ever succesfully bind inputs.
The game I bought it along time ago and liked it alot except for I completed (maxxed out) everything in about 3 hours. Lots of fun though
It isn't the best game around, but I find it interesting. Hey for 20 bucks I couldn't expect much more, of course when it came out it was more expensive probably, but for a drag racing game, it's alright.
One thing about it is that when Hot Rod had it designed, they wanted it to be fun,but easy for non car people.Kinda like an intro into the car world and try to make new fans. It would have worked if they would have kept up with support and updates.
