    OK...

I've picked up bits and bobs of info, some of which is probably wrong...

    215 - all ali, made '61-'63 and Rover '68 - '03

300 - cast iron version of above, bored & stroked over. Ali heads on high performance versions. Possibly taller deck height than 215 made from '64 - '67

340 - cast iron, uses 300 top end but different bottom end. Not sure if deck height same as 300? made from '66 - '67

350 - uses 340 bottom end but different block/heads/cam/etc. Some differences between '68 version and later built ones. Made through '81.

    Soooo.....

    Am I right so far?

Nothing interchanges between 215 and 350 then?

What intake options are there for the 340 (I have factory 4 bbl)

Anything worth noting interchange between 340 and 350?

Do 215 rocker arms etc. work on a 340? I did hear of some trick ones for the Rover and wondered if they'd go on my '66?

Im with alistair is their anything that we can use for the 340. Can we get the rover guys to run several hundred 340 intakes. They would probably sell real fast i know i would buy one. Dont think it would be that hard for them to do they have the equiptment.
    Just my opinion, Josh :Smarty:

300s were all cast iron from '65 to '67. 4 barrel 300s were optional in '64 with aluminum heads, and '65 with iron heads and intake. Only 2 barrels '66-'67. 340 has a taller deck and longer stroke, and is all cast iron. Intake Manifolds will not exchange with 300s or 350s. 4 barrel engines had 11:1 compression with aluminum heads ('64 300), and 10.25:1 with iron heads ('65 on). The exhaust manifolds will interchange between '65-'67 300s and 340s, but 350s have totally different manifolds altogether. Hope this helps.

is the 300 taller deck than the 215? Theres plenty of 215/Rover intakes about and if a 300 would take one thats a pretty cool choice of:

    Factory EFI
    Aftermarket EFI
    4 barrel dual plane
    4 barrel single plane
twin SU carbs (why?) ditto twin Stromberg carbs
    2 barrel carb
    Webber twin choke
    2x Webber twin choke

IIRC the Edelbrock app list for their intake only says "Rover 3.5 liter V8"

I think a 215 intake will only fit a 300 if you use spacers...Someone else might know more about that topic...from what I understand, the most cost effective plan for a 300 or 340 intake is to find a four barrel one that will work for your year.
