Congrats to Bobb Makley for his Real Street Win At Stanton Michigan Saturday. I heard he ran consistant 10.00 passes all night. And took out all those bottle feed babies.. LOL Great Job! :Brow:
Way to go Bobb. Glad to hear you won but we still missed you guys down at Morocco this weekend. Me and Clark were looking to shake your hands at the end of the day. How did the points shake out for you and Jeff in real street?
This coming from the King of the hill winner at Morocco and the quick 8 winner for v-8 Buick which was great too.
Way to go Bobb. You really earned it too. For thoughs of you who don't know, Bobb has had no less than 76 different converters in his car this summer. He's wore out 3 sets of bell housing bolts and a set of jack stands. :TU:
way to go Bobb, out of those 76 converters you must have chose the right one. :TU: Next time try velcro to hold that tranny in, it worked for me! congratulations! Randy
Bob was guessing that he might have come in first, but don't know exactly how they do the points, soon we will!
:beer Way to go Bobb, Congrats on the year end victory.....what a great run! I can feel a repeeeeeet in 2005!!! :TU:
It's official As of today it has been posted I am the real street 2004 points champ. Jeff Hart with missing the first race came in tied for 4th if he would have made the first race he would have been at the top with me and we may have had to do battle for the championship. I'm glad that was not the case because the way he is running right now I would be on the outside looking in. The funny part is the converter in the car is my old one and I'm waiting to get back the new again. They are sending me a totally new converter that is completely different then what I had. I won the final with a 10.008@126mph on the brakes hard. The car never was under 134 mph unless I was off the gas the sixty's were ugly and all over the place but it kept running ten 0's that way so what do you do. The class is based on a 10.00 index so you can't run under or you lose. Jeff and I are the only two guys's not running the bottle and we out weigh all but one. But they truly respect us because they know we can run well under the index. We met a lot of great guy's racing this series and I would recommend everyone find something like this to do it is huge fun. :3gears: I added a picture of the whole gang that was there it's missing Randy and Bonnie Waite. They headed home after the race. There is one of the car that night I wish I had a good one of the last pass it was in the air.
Here's the official Michigan Chapter info! Check it out here, pics alittle grainy due to low light, but it's official right HERE
Gary Geof say being married to his daughter is enough contingency. I'm not sure thats fair to her but I'll take it . . We had alot of fun Saturday as you can imagine.
We had alot of fun, too bad Geof wasn't there to witness, but I'm sure he was there in spirit so the Finishline crew made history! And all the Michigan fans were there to wish Bobb and Jeff well in the race, Bobb's Best half Amy, Jeff and Tammy Hart and kids, Dave and Sandy Hemker and kids, Randy and Bonnie Waite, Roberta and my hamburgers, and handy hand, What a great evening for the Finishline Folks! Of course :spank: :beer
bob what tires are you running? are they the hoosier 10.5 radials? the reason I ask is I switched over to them and the have a horrible wobble at high speeds and I'm working on my third warranty set from them but it is getting very frustrating .
