Great article in this months HMM. Just goes to show you that they're still out there! Very important, historic Pontiac race car brought back to its former glory by Scott T. Cheers to all involved!
Kudos Jim. Great article on an equally great car.Glad you ended up with it. Weidner Pontiac was a well known performance dealer.Even though it was an hour away from us,my dad would always take us down there to look at the new Pontiacs when we were young. They always had an awesome inventory.Lots of black Lemans,s,Grand Prixs, with 400,s ,gauges, rally wheels, black wall tires, really neat looking stuff.Always had a good selection of Formulas too. This Bird is at the top of the heap!!!
Congrats, Jim. Finally got mine and was able to sit down and read it. These 15-16 hour work days don't leave time for much else.
Had a chance to read the article yesterday during the day. Holy Cow or maybe Holy Grail is more like it. What a great story and great find. Just when you think everything has been discovered, this Christmas present shows up, and finds the right guy to boot! Way way cool! Rich C.
Great magazine overall this month, but that is an awesome car, Jim! Congrats on the find of a lifetime, and also the magazine feature to go along with it. The owner of the '69 H/O in the magazine, Karl, is a great guy as well.
Amazing find. I lived in North Canton, Ohio. We knew of Wiedner. Our Dealer was Edwards who raced the big cars through about 63 or 64. Lots of Pontiac racing in that area back then. Dooslammer Capitol of the US.
