I am adding a consolette to my 70 GS Stg 1. Can I reuse the shifter boot that I have as the lower shift boot and add the upper shift boot for the consolette or is it that the original shift boot is too tall? If I need to get 2 new boots, who makes a quality repro? I saw an NOS boot go for over $500, that's crazy.
I think the orginal upper without a console would be to tall and to big to be used for the lower with a console. I am unsure, but non console cars did not have lower seal/boot like a console car? Just my thoughts, thanks Bill.
