Correct Carpet Color for Sandlewood interior?

The carpet in my /71 GS is very faded and I can't tell what the correct original carpet color should be. The original interior is Sandlewood (trim code 154) with deluxe notch-back bench seats. I think the correct color, based on Auto Custom Carpets color samples should be either Saddle, Medium Saddle, or Dark Saddle. Does anyone know for sure what is correct? Or, the correct name for the carpet color if not one of these?

Try looking under the sill panel, there should be an un-faded example of the original color there. GL

From 1970 Le Sabre ordering documents. It appears, at least for 1970, that Sandalwood interiors got Dark Sandalwood carpet. Not sure if this applies to later years, but this same information was listed in the Color and Trim Albums if I am not mistaken. Maybe someone with a 71 Color and Trim album will confirm.

At various times, other GM divisions referred to this interior color combination as "Parchment" and "Covert" as well

I can save you hunting that site. I have the physical book. Carpet should be Medium Sandlewood assuming they even make it now.

That is straight from 71 trim book. 71 not same as 70 cars.

My old '71 had a Sandalwood Interior w/ Med. Sandalwood carpet & I parted a '71 4-door that also had that same combo.
