My 69 GS has stock chrome ralleys, but incorrect lug nuts and locking lugs, which I hate. Where do I get the correct rounded-top lug nuts? GM direct? CARS doesn't have em, and Year One doesn't either. Don't have any other catalogs -- I guess cause I never buy anything -- so I'm stumped. Simple question, I know, but hey, I don't know the answer. -- Steve
sometimes ya feel like a nut , sometimes ya don't Steve I wanted some fresh lug nuts for the GS and I went to Ebay and searched "lug nuts'' and found a buy it now set and they look great !! :Brow: :TU:
CARS has them...part # WN-695S. Repro in stainless for $75.00/set. Page 50 in the catalog. HTH Korrie
CARS has 'em? Oh. Gee, I feel dumb. Then again, it aint the first time. I was checking CARS online, since I didn't know just where their catalog was around here. Didn't see them online. Thanks for the tip, man. They'll make a nice stocking stuffer for myself come Christmas, long as the stocking is nailed up real well. -- Steve
dumb question - what's special about these? do they look different than normal parts store acorn lugs?
Okay, so I got lug nuts for Christmas. Woo-Hoo! Never woulda thought I could be so damn happy to get lug nuts. Made for the heaviest stocking evere of course -- bought ripped off the front of the mantle. Well, my wife threw out the catalog -- Yeesh -- so now I'm home and still got qustions. She got me repro stainless lug nuts -- 3/4". Are the factory correct lug nuts 3/4" or 13/16"? The new 3/4" ones are a damn sight smaller than their bigger cousins -- which I removed from a stock 69 recently (but which are all chewed up and about shot.) I just want to make sure that what I have now is correct. Otherwise, why bother replacing em? So what is it -- 3/4" or 13/16"? -- Steve
I believe the correct ones for a 70 are acorn nuts not the ones you normally see. Perhaps the same for a 69 but I have not looked that up.
