Went and had a treck through this yard today. It is in the prosess of closing out.Watched the owner use a bobcat to chop a vette body into dumpster size pieces.Look at the stuff!!Pallets and pallets of suspension, steering, rear diffies, brakes etc.Trailers full of upholstery,guages,electrical.3 spoke wheels are all gone.

    Very very sad.

If I just had a 4 stall pole building with a lift and a spray booth in the middle of that property, I could be happy for the rest of my life.

It was kinda overwhelming to see all the cars and parts that for the most part will be crushed. You can phone Ed at 250-374-6343.

Seems like a Corvette "goldmine" that some restoration parts company would be interested in.

Where's all the Jack Daniels induced bidders from Barrett Jackson when you really need them? :error:

They could buy all this stuff for what they pay for one 427 tripower 4 speed and still make a 500% profit selling parts.

I have been involved with Vettes for 26+ years.......still have the first one I bought as my first car.....from all the pics....the parts there are garbage/junk/scrap...most of it is post-1975 parts and they are not worth much if anything. So......no great loss and no money to be made selling those parts.

That may be true now, but 10 years from now-who knows. I saw a lot of GS's crushed 30 years ago because they were just old rusty Buicks.:Dou:

All you have to do is look at pricing...those 84-90 Vettes are the cheapest ones available as used cars and they are basically forgotten.....so from 75-up...prices drifted lower...then up when the 80-2 models came out......after that....don't expect much. I think the newer ones 99-up will be the better ones with better appreciation.

So from looking at those parts...those are 84-94 parts which are basically worthless.

Are you sure this stuff is just scrapped? Some of the stuff looks pretty organized. I used to work in a "scrapyard" and a lot of the stuff we sold instead of crushed, was organized pretty similar to this yard. Wouldn't make since to go through so much trouble just to scrap it.

Cole, you used to own a wrecking yard, whats your opinion of the stuff thats left there ? I'm sure all the good stuff was already picked over. My business experience with corvette guys are that they are the cheapest ! followed closely by the ford guys.... I don't even stock much corvette stuff. The Mopar guys spend more money than anyone hands down. No other group even comes close. By the way your old yard is for sale again.......and for a measly 100k after a crush...... Want me to put a deposit on it for you ?????? Marcel.:Brow:

There are lots of trailers and pallets I didn't take pictures of.I see what George is saying those mid 70's and 80's cars are so-so,I would think there would be more hot rodders maybe interested in this stuff:Do No: There is always someone out there needing a part for what ever car.I would also agree with Marcel on the way different car marque enthusiasts buy parts.
If the ol 72 F350 sling truck comes with the old Yard,I'm in!!:TU:
