I followed a link on this board to Wildcat Engineering in the UK (Wales). The website shows the big valve/port heads that they make for the Rover V8. I presume, without spending the $ $ for the international call, that these may be compatible with the 215 and therefore, potentially with the '64 300. Anybody have an idea on what the prices are for their Stage 1 and Stage 2 heads?
Here is a link to the 215 mailing list. They have had quite a few discussions about interchanging heads: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/215V8/
About 2000 pounds UK they say.... They're much cheaper if you get them bare and source all of the parts over here. http://www.ac427.com/crcforum/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=27&topic_id=651&mode=full Greg PS. Welcome back Pinhead! I thought we'd lost you to the layoff blues!
plus some $$$$ Dont forget to add in the cost of the (wildcat) Valve Covers and Intake as i don't think that any stock or aftermarket buick or rover items will work with these heads - I'd be happy if someone just took a stage 2 V-6 head and add one cylinder back on - maybe narrow up the valve center line too a little bit as there is not much room left in the bore with the large valves of the heads.
