i ripped a 2 inch cowl off an old 69 camaro hood my buddy had lying around, and am in the process of making it part of my hood now (84 cutlass 442, BUT its powered by a 72 buick 350). i riveted it down, threw some fiberglass body filler around it, then used regular body filler ontop of that to smooth it all out. now my problem is, the thing keeps shrinking under the heat of the sun. the cowl was made of plastic (cheap i know but it looks decent on the car, and it was free) and the heat keeps making certain areas around the edges shrink causing me a nightmare. has this happend to anyone and is there a solution??? thanks -Nick
