on my 69 cali gs,is the cowl supposed to be body color?it came to me with black spray paint.also the id tag on top of cowl,paint it body color also,or black,or plain steel?????
On my 69 convertible, the cowl and tag were black, and I repainted them black, right to where the cowl meets the door seam. My car was originally white, so its definitely not the body color.
i thought so but under the black spray bomb,its got blue(body color)paint that i believe is original,yet no traces of blue on the tag.
Jamie, Of the 10/12 or so 68-69's I've owned, all of them were black. The top of the cowl is black and the sides (covered by the fronts of the doors) were body color :TU:
