This is for all Wildcat Kustoms (others too!) Cool 60's style only preferred! I found two cool ones on the net. Still the Bellflowers on the black one might be a little too long
After the one hundredth time of bruising my shins walking around the back of that Wildcat I would have to take a sawzall to those tailpipes! :spank:
I don't know who started putting those type tips on these cars but I think they are both stupid and ugly. Some cars look good with I guess what you call the "bellflower" pipes on them.... these don't. Totally ruin the lines on the back end of the car, especially one that it flat painted and almost totally devoid of trim.
I dunno... I kinda like the de-chromed look, but I would've gone one step further by blacking out all the remaining trim and then shaving the door handles. Kinda GN-ish :Brow: Those long tailpipes have got to go! :af:
I think the black primer looks really cool too; does that car belong to someone on the board here? I'd like to know what paint it is, maybe I'll try something like that for the Riv in the bodyshop class.
I am not a fan of bellflower pipes or lake pipes or skinny whites. Too "old school" for me. I love the green one, The stance is perfect but the pipes got to go. My favorite style is slightly lowered and a set of 17 to 18 inch rims. Most 60s cars this is all they need to look cool. In MOST cases the factory designers did a great job and cutting them up and modifying the body just ruins the lines.
@CTX:The Bellflower Tips were THE thing to put on u'r kustom back in the early 60's.... It started way back then. Sometimes I like 'em sometimes I don't like 'em. Just like u said. As I've mentioned these are a bit too long. (But they certainly are Rock and Roll!) Otherwise I think they go allright with the cat. And with the 60's theme. But I'm not sure if I really want 'em on mine... And yes they are stupid, that's what they are made for! It's all a matter of taste... For example u will NEVER see any 17' or 18' wheels on on of my rides... Now stop worriing 'bout them Bellies, and bring on some kustom pics. Are there any race Wildcats out there?
Not rilly what I would build, but a wild 60's Barris example of a Wildcat. The famous "Mystique" For this one u would need to get a matching house! :bglasses:
Wildcat as of being a big wildcat fan myself i love both of the cars. i think the black ones should have had the tail pipes come out like the old corvettes w/ them coming out in front of the back tire. and i love the paint job on it. i always woundered what a wildcat would look like w/ a smooth black primer paint job. it looks real good. and the other wildcat is just perfect. i would love to have both of them. :beer
 good old days..... ou: But I'm beginnig to like those 70's miscreations more and more. Soon u will read on ebay "original 70'S Custom! Survivour! Shakeled up! And the prices will go shakeled up, too!... The grill on that above ain't to bad actually. The engine is cool. Another Goofy one: (or maybe the same, only later) "kids do not do this at home"
If this is semi-restored, how will it look when fully restored?? Do you like your red line tires? Which brand did you get? I'm thinking about getting some red line radials for my Riv since the H-70-15 red line tires like my spare aren't reproduced. What's the size of yours? 235-70-R15?
