currie 9" or 12 bolt in 1970 skylark?

    hello Guys I am looking too get some advice
    I could build a 12 bolt from chevy [1970] or get a new 9" housing for A body
    from currie sold at summit racing with axles for 1100
    and find a carrier or stay with the 12bolt plan?

    I think they will be close in price since I will get new axles and possi gears etc plus buying the 12 housing

    looking too build a stump puller and want it too hold togeather for a few years...

    any advice or comments wound help me

    I'm kind of in the same boat. I have a 12 bolt posi now with 3.08 gears. It has a lot of miles on it so it's probably time for a freshening before some track use. The current motor is 503 HP with a 10" JW convertor. The 3.08's would be nice for the highway, but to really get down the track, I'd probably need 3.55's. I used to run 4.56's, man that was a hole shot :laugh: But the Ford would be nice in that I could run a 3.0 in a basic center section and then have one with bigger gears and a real good posi for track action that could be switched in an hour or two. Be curious to see what others think.
