i don't have any speakers up front because i don't know where to mount them.. wheres the best place to custom mount some 6x9s or 6" round speakers in the front? kick panel would be best, i want to avoid the door. any clues or links to aftermarket parts?

he has his mounted in the door nice setup but i cant and don't wanna modify my door + i don't wanna sit right beside a 200watt 6" component speaker lol with the speaker being in the door like his your not gonna get quality sound its just gonna be LOUD beside ur head, but i guess if ur taking it down the track with high revs ur gonna need it close and loud just to hear it lol.. u gotta think about the sound waves coming out and how they spread, u need the front speakers [if running high watts] to be at least 2 or 3 feet away.. i prefer a good 4ft away from my head when running more than 100watts

these are my kick panels, any ideas?

My concern with mounting in kick panels has always been the enclosure for the speaker. They need free air to move and some amount of enclosure to sound good. If not modifying the door panels isn't an option you unfortunately will not have many options unless you come across or make a surface mount enclosure for some small speakers.

I think "Custom Auto Sound" makes kick panels with speakers for the A Body cars. I have a set in mine and they are ok. Peace, Mike D.

Call these people. They make panels for 6" speakers for the Skylarks for as little as $84. I bought a pair and haven't put them in yet but they look good. 217-728-7425

I made some boxes for 6'' speakers and put them under the front of front seats, no mods required and out of sight

yea i was gonna do that with 6x9's but my seat sits real low.. i dont even think i can get a 6" speaker to fit... i took out my seat and custom mounted it 8" farther back that way when i park and chill out/hangout i have plenty of room up front when i scoot the seat all the way back but thats the only other idea i had, ill try some more measuring and see what i can come up with

yes i have looked into these http://www.casmfg.com/Chevelle_Kickpanels.htm but which one would i get the AC or without AC, the ones with ac has that little box sticking out and my originals are flat and dont have that [see pics below] so are the ones without AC which look flat like mine, are those a match? i cant really tell by these low quality images

could u post pics of the ones u have for a better look
i just wanna be sure befor i buy. i called them and talked to a tech and someone else and they were NOT helpful at all and pretty much just said "if u have factory AC then thats what u buy cuz the one without ac wont fit right" but he couldn't explain anything regarding the box sticking out and how it was different from myn
