I spoke with Ralph earlier today; the plan is that I call him on Monday for an appointment date.

The fuel level sending unit (1987 Buick Regal Olds 307 V8) arrives today from Summit. Regarding my factory fuel tank, Ralph is going to inspect/clean out the inside of it for me, prior to installing the new fuel level sending unit. I purchased new fuel tank straps from Ebay.

    Great looking dash plan.

Was going to suggest a look at gnxdash but they appear to have disappeared!

Thanks very much. I posted/shared your wagon's chassis pics with dual red air bags showing on Facebook.

Hope it helps. That's a 'before' picture and a cautionary tale of what your frame will look like after 500k kms of abuse followed by experimenting with different suspensions. I think you can just see the stress cracks in that pic.

The blasted and boxed frame looks and feels MUUUUUUCH better.

I notice a few weeks ago, that my braided stainless steel fuel line is connected to an inline filter against the engine block with common round screw clamps, instead of the correct hose end fittings in the photo. These 2 items gets installed next week at Ralph's.

Devon-DaWildCat put me on to this safety hazard a while back with the rest of my fuel line connections (all were converted to hose end connectors, except to fuel filter #2 against the block) ... didn't know the dyno shop left it like that.

... AND; JohnnyLark made sense regarding the dyno-shop installing my #2 inline fuel filter under the hood/against the engine.
I'm having Ralph relocate the filter under the Regal against frame/chassis.

    Morning, ALL.

My new fuel tank straps with mounting hardware from Ebay, and new fuel sending unit (Olds 307 V8 1987 Buick Regal).

Last week, I mentioned to Ralph about my getting a new fuel tank, and he told me not to bother --- he will clean out my existing tank for me when he pulls it to install new fuel sending unit. He's also changing my broken heater core, and installing the A/C delete box with blower relocation port.

    :TU:

I meet with him today regarding an appointment date.

I kept the original tank too. You'll have no trouble with it unless it has water in there.

The straps on the other hand like to rust to death.

Interesting heater box!! What is that??

    Thanks for the info/assurance, Clint.

The A/C delete box is made of fiberglass, and has a hole for the stock heater blower to be relocated. I got it off Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1978-88-G-B...ash=item2812329e5c:g:HssAAOSw0e9UyVbN&vxp=mtr a couple of years ago. Turbo-Steve at the time recommended it ... he had one on his 1986 Stage-1 Buick 455 Regal.

... new replacement Comp Cams electric vacuum pump arrived yesterday. The Amazon seller told me to just return the pump, and keep the new installation hardware and the ones from the 1st defective pump.

My appointment with Ralph is March 1st to install new custom dash gauge cluster, new heater core, and A/C delete box.

    Good afternoon ALL.

This video clip was created earlier this morning; I'm a bit "annoyed" that Ralph put other vehicles for repair in front of my Buick; only having fuel pressure regulator and custom dash gauge cluster installed. He actually "forgot" (even though it's ALL written down in his office) to install my new fuel tank straps; later trying to convince me that the factory fuel tank straps are much stronger/reliable. In closing, I need to find a reliable shop to change my heater core, and install the A/C delete box down the line.
