Do any of you know anything about Performance Distributors D.U.I. distributor? I was going to order one for my 69 GS455 project, but want some feedback from members first. Thanks & Aloha, Scott:beer
Davis Unified Ignition? I seem to recall that they made HEI type distributors for Fords. That was a long time ago when I had heard that (I don't know too many Ford guys:grin: ) and I'm sure that they easily could have expanded their line of products to include performance HEIs. haven't heard of them for years, though. On a side note, if the guy outside doesn't stop blowing his horn, I am going to re-locate it in a place that he will find uncomfortable to sit with.
Mr. Davis took upon himself to 'borrow' the Ford HEI design from our own IgnitionMan Dave many years ago!!! Oddly enough, he didn't ask!!ou: Dave converted an old Ford to HEI, by cutting the bottom half of an old Ford dist. and the top half of a GM HEI and mating them together. FYI...This conversion was done for a neighbor of Mr. Davis. I bought one of there distributors when I built my first BBB. It ran great, I had talked to them several times. When I tried to run a Holley Pro-jection fuel injection system I got to know them very well. I had the engineres at Holley talking to the D.U.I. folks trying to get the computer to talk to the distributor. D.U.I. was a great help, even though I never got the system to run.
