It's a rockin good time in the Windy City.:beer Just finished watching the Bears trounce the Saints. Haven't been this excited about sports in a while. On to Miami to play? Could be a rematch of Super Bowl XX. Rich
Da Bears!:bglasses: I haven't been this excited either since the Bulls when I was younger. Rich, your in Elmhurst too? Where at? Is that your SC/Rambler?o No:
Rob, I don't believe it. A fellow Elm(HURST)ian. How the heck are you!:beer I'm on Addison St. about a block and a half , nort of Nort Ave! Ha! Ha! Grew up on the nort side of Chicago. If you gotta go back to the Bulls for excitement you gotta be a Cub fan! I'm with ya! That's my son in the picture. As far as cars go ,I don't own any cars.:bglasses: At least that's what I keep tellin myself ,so that I won't slip up in front of my wife.:spank: Where abouts are you? Rich
Bob, I see your out there. Well,I knew you were out there, being a fellow AMC enthusiast ,like me.ou: Just finished off some Chicago Style Pizza with the family. It's cold and snowy outside . Feels right doesn't it. The earth is finally back on it's axis. All I need now is more snow, and the sound of studded snow tires whizzing about,to bring me back to my youth! I'm watching to see who will be next. New England is lookin good now.I smellin rematch. Give me a call when you get the chance. Gotta few things to talk and stategise about.:3gears: Rich
Congrats to the Bears, but one question, where were your posts before the game? Guess you were a bit worried and didn't want to talk trash until you knew you won. Can't blame you,the Saints were a scary team to play, but we deserved the loss.We came out playing like an AFC team from the 80's in trying to be a passing team rather than a ground and pound team like what got us there. The Bears deserved to win, good luck in the Super Bowl.I will be pulling for the Bears.
Kase, To tell you the truth,I thought that the Saints would beat the Bears. Actually,I thought that both teams had equal respect for each other, both before and after the game.It made it a better game, the way things used to be. No trash talkin here. The Saints have a class organization ,and truth be told, well of course we wanted to beat um. But, if the tables had been turned,I'd be rooting for the Saints,no matter who they played. I like the team, and the heart that they play with. My hats off to the Saints!:beer Rich
Just trying to salvage some pride after that miserable showing by the Saints. You guys deserve the win,you worked for it and deserved it. Bears for the Superbowl,at least we have Ditka and Buicks in common.
Rich, Just down the road, River Glen Ave. 1 block east of Route 83, also the north side of North Ave. Bulls are fun to watch, baseball can get boring for me at times but i do enjoy the Cubs more than the Sox.
Ah Chris, I wouldn't give the trophy away until AFTER the game. The Pats thought they were gonna win too. the Colts are due just as much as the Bears. Pegleg
Re: "Da Beers -COLTS Steve, So now it's set! Pats had ya sweatin there for a while ,didn't they!:eek2: Colts comeback was great to watch although that game could have went either way. Should be a good game! Of course it depends on which Bears/Colts team shows up! I hope it's a knock down slug fest that goes right down to the wire! We'll see Feb. 4th . Good Luck! Rich
not a white sox fan then huh? I mean they did win the 2005 World Series. Before that we have to go back to the Bulls for success by a Chicago sports team. btw, I'm a little south and west of you guys. in Romeoville. I do know a guy in Elmhurst with like 5 GTOs. REAL nice GTOs.
Chris, Yes, I'm still cryin over the Cubs self destruct in 03!:ball: Good to hear from another ILL. resident! Maybe,a few of us should get together ,for a test and tune at Joliet this spring?:3gears: BTW: I know M.S. too! Maybe we can get him to take one of those Indians, and blow out the peace pipes with us ? What do ya think guys! ie: Bob W. , Steve A., Rob , Jim L. ,Chris S. ,and any other ILL. peeps? PM me so that I can get your contact info.. Rich
cubs, um, lets not talk about them. the cubs have had (and still do) issues for the better part of a century. :Smarty: at least you admit the cubs did themselves in in 2003, versus putting the blame on steve bartman. bartman wasn't playing shortstop last time I checked. o No: anyway .... yep, M.S., thats him. to make a long story short, when I talked with him in person last Aug he expressed an interest in racing the 71 Judge. I'm working on him to bring that car to Martin in June. Hopefully, if Dan is watching he'll reply to the email from Mike and pursuade him too. I'm always out at Route 66, especially since it's 15 miles down the street from me. I'll send you a PM with my info. Also Steve A is in Naperville with a gorgeous black LS-6 chevelle.
