Hey I have a 71 Gs 455 engine block and heads and a BA th400 trans 308 gears for a 8.5 I also have a 8.5 posi unit that I will sell cheaply because it is a light duty . All my stuff is 455 so I do not need it . That posi is new and in a rear with 373's complete . Interesting huh . Call Nick I called him and said you would be calling John
how much for the 8.5 posi unit. i dont really have that much $$ right now. im trying to sell a muzzleloader so i can buy a posi but not having much luck. can you give me a price on the posi and i will see what i can do. i cant afford the 455 right now so thats out of the question . will the light duty posi hold up to the 350's torque? i dont really need a complete rear. just gears and the posi. but lets see if we can work something out!

posi and 308 gears The posi will hold up to a 350 and is new . The gears are very good used from71 GS 455 all parts fit a 8.5 175.00+shipping . I will include all the shims and bearings with it . I am not in a hurry as the car is in storage and I have to move some cars around to get to the rear . I have a buyer for the 373 already . John
okay, if i can sell this gun and get the money i will take it. the posi diff. with shims and gears come all together right? how much were u asking for the 373 gears? i didnt really want to go that low of gear but if i can afford it we'll see.

I had the whole set up 342 posi , 308, and 373 gears on the board . I have the 342 set shipped , the 373 were spoken for . Unless you are really going to try to go fast the 373 would be a problem . Buick motors do not like to rev like small chevies without a lot of balancing work ($$$) They do their work with tourque . The 308 and 342 are the best in my experience for a driven car . The parts to install all come with this . just let me know . John
i'd really like the 342's but if you think the 308s would be best for me, what kind of price do u want for them? its mainly a stock motor. internals are all stock. looking for a gear thats better than stock. i'd like more punch out of it when i floor it on the highway.
