I'm ready to install my new woodgrain stickers I got from Greg Setter, I removed the original weathered inserts but wanted to ask if anyone has tips for installing the new ones before I start?

    Rick,
I pulled the headlight switch rod out, and unscrewed the ferrule that holds the switch to the dash. Same with the cigarette lighter. I also removed the radio, and unscrewed the climate control box, then removed the faceplate(it is held on to the box by spring clips). This makes it easier to line up the decals. Other than that, just make sure the dash surface is clean(no adhesive remaining)

ok, cool, I removed the ferruls but didn't think about the heater controls. I test fit the stickers and they all seem a little big. I was hoping I wouldn't thave to trim but we'll see! Thanks :TU:

Rick - in some cases you may have to slightly trim out my inserts. Depending on the thickness of the plating and how 30+ years have affected the bezel, the edges may be a little snug.

On the heater-a/c piece, it will appear to be larger until you remove the bezel. It is sized to the plastic piece that attaches to the controller. Even if it is slightly larger, it won't matter once you put the cover on and fit it back into the bezel.

If you have any issues or need additional info, drop me a line and I can talk you through it.
