Could anybody read the date code out of these numbers from the heater hoses?

    It says: 1572 D 04179 x1

    Thanks!

The 04179 could mean March 17 of 1969. Would that make sense for your car?

Sorry, I guess I cannot count. Should be April 17 1969. Just a guess.

Yes, that makes sense for my car.
I found some other date code numbers from parts that confirm April 1969 also.
I was wondering if the hoses were factory stock because they look like that.
    Now I know they are.

    Thanks for your reply!

No Problem. I would not trust those hoses for long however if they are for the heater. If they are for the Ac system they may be OK. If they are the heater type with the raised lines you can still get them new but they do not have date codes.

    OK thanks again!

I have AC on the car. But these hoses are the heater hoses, I have checked them for cracks but no cracks found they are still in great shape.
Btw, sometimes I see that these hoses are red on some Buicks. Is that also factory stock? I prefer not to change them because they are in great shape and I like the fact and the looks that they are original.

Robbie, that red hose you are talking about I call Pink. Those are Auto Zone cheapos. I have no idea how anyone can use that ugly stuff. I would rather use a garden hose.

Yes, the pink hoses look a little strange hahah...That's a great engine compartment you have there Dave! That's exactly the way I would do it if I would detail the engine compartment. Too bad that on the heads where the exhaust starts in the heads the red paint always burns off.
Below in my signature there's the link where you can see my old engine department with the heater hoses, if you look closely you see the 1572 numbers.

Yes, not much you can do about the paint on the heads. Always happens at break in. Your engine looks like a nice original.

There should be red paint available that could stand the heat right?
I think I have seen the heads red on the exhaust area without the paint burned off.

I have never seen one. I would bet if it stays on it was never run. The best color is The Krylon brand and that is what I used.

Ok, well the color red looks perfect. Which Sparkplug wires did you use? Were they ready to fit? They look great.
